About the RoleAs the Principal Engineer (Passenger Transport), you will play a key role in shaping Queensland's future transport infrastructure by providing high-level engineering expertise and strategic guidance across major passenger transport projects. Working within the Translink Infrastructure team, you'll contribute to the successful delivery of the Passenger Transport Infrastructure Investment Program (PTIIP) - a $990 million program focused on creating accessible, efficient, and customer-centric transport options across the state. As Principal Engineer, you will:- Provide expert engineering advice and project management across multimodal passenger transport infrastructure projects.- Drive the delivery and coordination of infrastructure programs that improve accessibility, safety, and efficiency.- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and local governments to align investment with strategic network goals.- Support technical development, design reviews, and program performance across high-value projects We're looking for someone who can combine technical expertise with strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement and holds the following:- A Washington Accord accredited four-year engineering degree (or equivalent)- RPEQ registration (mandatory)- A C Class driver's licence- Proven experience managing transport infrastructure projects (ideally passenger transport)- Strong program management and risk mitigation skills- Excellent communication and relationship-building ability- A collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation Apply now and help us shape the future of Queensland's passenger transport network.
