Candidate Attributes * * Expertise in SQL clustering, AWS RDS, and Oracle database technologies, with a strong focus on implementing security best practices and compliance standards. * Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to automate database management tasks while enhancing security measures through scripts. * Strong knowledge of data warehousing solutions and secure integration practices with business systems or cloud platforms, emphasising data protection. * Broad understanding of AWS, Azure, and M365 ecosystems to provide secondary support to other team members. * Familiarity with cyber security principles and best practices related to database and data warehouse solutions, including risk management and incident response. * Ability to assess and implement security measures like encryption, access controls, and vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive data. * Experience with database migration and integration projects, focusing on maintaining security throughout cloud and hybrid deployments. * Knowledge of database performance monitoring and tuning tools with a focus on security implications, ensuring optimised performance without compromising security. * Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex database security issues, including potential vulnerabilities and threats. * Ability to stay updated with evolving cyber security threats and trends in database and data warehousing domains.
