About the role: This position is based at the Cairns Family Store in Woree and is responsible for managing the receipt and dispatch of goods. You'll also support the overall efficiency and operations of the Family Stores, in alignment with The Salvation Army’s mission. This is a permanent part-time role, offering 22.8 hours per week. Salary is aligned with the General Retail Award, Level 2. How you will make an impact: Coordinate the collection and delivery of donated goods as directed by the Family Store Manager and according to the scheduled plan, while following all workplace health and safety (WH&S) and manual handling protocols. Provide a weekly planner to the Family Store Manager detailing scheduled pickups and deliveries. Ensure the daily logbook for pickups and deliveries is accurately and thoroughly maintained. Handle loading, unloading, and transport of goods with care, adhering to the assigned schedule and timelines. What will you bring: At least 2 years of experience operating commercial vehicles. Previous experience in a customer-facing role. A current and valid QLD Driver’s Licence. A current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one. A good level of physical fitness to perform the tasks required, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and climbing ladders in accordance with WH&S guidelines.
