You will play a key leadership role in providing advice and direction about the interpretation, application and review of relevant planning anddesign policies, standards, and guidelines across the range of transport infrastructure planning and design activities undertaken in the District. Accountabilities include:- Manage the delivery of a program of planning and design projects through the implementation of best practice to achieve value for money outcomes for transportinfrastructure projects.- Supervise and coordinate resource allocation to component projects and services which support the transport infrastructure functional areas in the region to encourage teamwork and staff development.- Provide leadership, conceptual thinking and resolution of complex problems to various stakeholders for successful completion of transport infrastructure projects.- Ensure that planning and design principles are implemented in accordance with the relevant policies, standards, guidelines and legislation, and that qualitymanagement is consistent with the required standards.- When managing component projects, you will provide support and advice on the planning and design processes aligned with the relevant phases of corridor planning, program development, program delivery, and program finalisation.- Develop effective relations with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address needs, expectations and issues that may affect the successful delivery ofprojects.
