Our client is looking for a Yard Hand/Forklift driver to work in their Brookvale branch. A physically demanding job where no day is the same. This role is starting immediately with the chance to become permanent. A growing company who has been trading for over 50 years. They design and manufacturer many products to help ensure your building experience is as safe and as efficient as it can be. Duties & Responsibilities: Loading and unloading bricks, materials, and equipment from delivery trucks or pallets. Loading trucks for deliveries, during the day, and the last load on ready for 1st delivery the next day. Ensure the load is securely fastened Loading & unloading trucks with stock and/or Hire Gear Loading customers' orders onto their truck or trailer, using a forklift or by hand. Organize product by type and size, ensuring they’re properly stacked and stored for easy access. Weekly stock takes of all yard products using the Stock Take report from Exonet Maintain stock levels in the yard, requesting a Purchase Order Operate and maintain yard equipment such as forklifts Ensure the yard is clean, organized, and free from hazards. This may include sweeping, clearing, and general upkeep. Greet customers as they walk into the yard Prepare orders for delivery, ensuring the right materials are picked and ready for delivery. Perform other duties as required, such as assisting with other tasks around the yard. End of the day, bring the trucks into the yard The successful candidate will have: MUST have Forklift License/Driving License Physically fit as heavy lifting will be a part of your role You will be hardworking and a team player as you will be required to work autonomously as well within a team environment. You will be flexible to work some overtime from time to time Some warehouse/yard hand experience is highly desirable and have solid transferable skills. As this is a temp to perm role, we will only be looking at candidates with permanent residency or citizenship. Start immediately.
