As a Project Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in scoping and developing major infrastructure projects that support customer-centric, sustainable, and innovative transport solutions across NSW. Purpose of the Role (Key Capabilities) You will be responsible for leading the early-stage planning and development of complex transport infrastructure projects. This includes managing investigations, stakeholder consultations, environmental assessments, and scoping to ensure feasibility, sustainability, and alignment with broader government goals. · Key responsibilities include: · Leading project scoping, concept design, and feasibility activities. · Coordinating stakeholder engagement and community consultation. · Developing business cases, funding proposals, and environmental assessments. · Managing relationships across government agencies and private stakeholders. · Advising senior leaders and contributing to project approvals and reporting. Requirements Essential Criteria To be successful in this role, you will need: · Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline. · Extensive experience in infrastructure project development, ideally within government or regulated sectors. · Proven capability in managing multidisciplinary teams, business cases, and strategic design processes. · Strong ability to communicate complex information to diverse stakeholders and manage community engagement processes. · Experience with environmental and risk assessments, funding submissions, and design review processes.
