ConsultANZ is looking for a skilled and motivated Contract Administrator to join our client’s expanding team in Sydney. Our client is a well-established civil contractor with an impressive portfolio of infrastructure projects, including tunneling, bridges, roads, and slope stabilization for both private and government sectors. YOUR NEW ROLE Working within a high-performing and collaborative commercial team, you will play a key role in ensuring contractual obligations are met while supporting the successful delivery of complex civil works. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage subcontractor agreements and monitor their performance throughout the project lifecycle. Review, certify, and process payment claims, progress certificates, and variation submissions. Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate contract variations, programs, and service agreements. Ensure compliance with internal procurement procedures and contract governance policies. Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to uphold contractual compliance. Identify and escalate contractual risks or issues to project leadership. Support the commercial team with reporting, forecasting, and cost tracking. Provide guidance to senior management on contractual matters and assist in implementing their directives. Assist the Procurement Manager as required with sourcing and evaluation processes. Monitor subcontractor KPIs and reporting, including preparation of quarterly performance reviews. Resolve contract queries and disputes related to project scope, services, or deliverables. Draft, review, and manage reports, correspondence, and submissions related to ongoing operations. WHAT YOU’LL BRING Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline. 2–4 years’ experience in contract administration within construction or infrastructure projects. Solid understanding of contract management practices and commercial processes. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite. Experience using Xero and Procore is highly advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently. Awareness of contract risk identification and mitigation strategies.
