As Lead Data Engineer in the SafetyCulture Care Technical team, you will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintaining insurance data assets. This is a unique opportunity to take the lead in shaping the insurance data asset and collaborating with SafetyCulture data engineers on the SafetyCulture data assets. What you will be doing? Spearhead the development of the insurance data asset as the lead Data Engineer for SafetyCulture Care Ensure the accuracy and availability of the insurance data asset for analysis and business decision-making Utilize advanced knowledge of data ETL and the AWS suite of tools/infrastructure Enhance and maintain insurance data assets, with a primary focus on data warehouse/data lakes, data pipelines, and curated summary datasets Provide regular data reports and address ad hoc data requests Work in a small and multi-disciplinary team with multiple internal and external stakeholders, spanning various roles and seniorities Collaborate with SafetyCulture data engineers on intriguing big data projects as part of the extended SafetyCulture team Merge rich SafetyCulture data with SafetyCulture Care's insurance dataset to unearth insights that drive the unique SafetyCulture Care insurance proposition What you will need? Working knowledge/experience of General Insurance Knowledge of insurance regulatory frameworks ideally relating to reporting, data governance and controls Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders Ability to develop end-to-end data solutions with quality and monitoring Experience with AWS data technologies (EC2, EMR, S3, Redshift, EKS, Glue) and infrastructure Working knowledge of reporting and dashboarding tools such as Tableau, Hex, PowerBI, MicroStrategy, QlikSense, SAS VA.
