On Track Recruitment are seeking a highly capable Design Manager to take the lead on a significant infrastructure program. This involves the upgrade and expansion of key public assets, including terminal extensions, building refurbishments, and fit-out works. Key duties: Overseeing the design and asset transition for new and existing infrastructure associated with the program of works Ensuring technical assurance and compliance with all relevant legislation, safety standards, and statutory obligations delivery resources for site investigations supporting the design scope Leading value engineering and managing the progression from reference to detailed design, including responding to RFIs and addressing design-related issues during delivery Managing planning, heritage, and building compliance processes (via the design consultant) Driving on-time delivery of design milestones in line with project objectives Requirements: At least 10 years experience in design management across building or infrastructure projects Prior experience in project management Strong skills in drafting scopes of work for engineering services and supporting project delivery contracts This is a rare opportunity to lead the design delivery on a strategically important infrastructure investment that will have lasting community impact.
