Network Operations Engineer — Dandenong South, Greater Dandenong

This position sits at the core of our network operations - perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and has strong troubleshooting skills. With monthly rewards and recognition Internal training and resources for you to continue to learn, grow and achieve your career goals Yearly allowance for amazing Aussie merch Fitness Passport for access to multiple gyms and pools across Australia Let’s talk about you To be successful in this role you will possess: Strong alignment with Aussie Broadband’s values 3 years' technical networking experience (ISP or large enterprise preferred) Great communicator - comfortable supporting staff, customers, and reporting to leadership Self-motivated, eager to learn, and adaptable across multiple domains Able to work on a rotating 24/7/365 roster Solid knowledge of key networking protocols and technologies (e.g. BGP, OSPF, IPv4/6, MPLS, CG-NAT, VPNs) Skilled in troubleshooting network hardware and fibre issues Basic understanding of data centre technologies (servers, VMs, containers, Linux) Familiar with network design principles Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNA, JCNA, NSE, ITIL 4, Network Security) Hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper routers, Nexus switches, EVPN, Fortinet firewalls & CG-NAT, Corero DDoS Familiar with monitoring & ITSM tools (LogicMonitor, Icinga, Grafana, Jira) Strong in routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, MP-BGP) and MPLS (LDP, SR, RSVP-TE) Experience with ISP-related peering, transit, and content delivery Understanding of NBN infrastructure and access technologies Proven ability to: Troubleshoot and lead with initiative Work autonomously and collaboratively Learn quickly and adapt to change How will you support our “Why?” Monitor and manage network and security events to proactively identify issues Handle incidents within SLA targets, including troubleshooting, communication, and post-incident reviews Plan and support network changes and upgrades while minimising risk Identify and resolve problems to improve network performance Action service requests within agreed timeframes Detect and respond to network risks and threats Maintain and update technical documentation and processes Drive continuous improvement across systems and practices Collaborate with key teams across the business to support incidents, changes, and new initiatives Support general NOC operations as required Ready to join?
