We’re looking for a highly motivated, energetic, and organised Senior Officer, Student and Academic Administration, to play a key role in delivering exceptional administrative support. In this senior position, you’ll contribute to the smooth and effective operation of our Student and Academic Administration team—helping to shape the student experience and support academic excellence within our Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences. Providing high level, detailed, timely and accurate information, advice and support to students, prospective students and staff on the academic programs offered through the Faculty including admission requirements, enrolment, assessment and graduation procedures and the policies, rules and procedures associated with a student’s progress within the learning environment. Key responsibilities will include: Provide expert advice and support to the Associate Dean (Academic) and Manager on student and academic matters, complex enquiries, and risk escalation within University policy frameworks. Coordinate and guide team operations, including training staff, ensuring deadlines are met, and supporting committee processes such as Board of Studies documentation. Manage data and systems by maintaining credit guidelines, overseeing database accuracy (e.g., SI-net, course/program info), conducting audits, and supporting process improvements through data analysis. Lead communication and engagement, drafting formal correspondence, updating key publications, and representing the Faculty at events like TSXPO and Open Days. Relevant degree with extensive experience and specialist expertise, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Strong background in student and academic administration within a university setting, with a sound understanding of institutional policies, programs, and procedures. Proven ability to develop training materials, deliver training, and contribute to continuous process improvement. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure. High level of initiative, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in relevant computer systems and tools. Flexible, reliable team player with strong communication skills and a commitment to accuracy and service excellence.
