Description We currently have an opportunity for a Travel & Expense Administrator. Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in managing the end-to-end travel and expense process. Reporting to the Team Leader – Finance Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services. This is a permanent, part-time position working 22.8 hours per week, flexible over 3 to 5 days, and the role can be based in Canberra, Sydney or New Zealand. What You’ll Do This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including: Manage end-to-end travel bookings and maintain systems to track all travel activity, ensuring timely and accurate arrangements. Reconcile travel claims daily and prepare detailed client invoices in compliance with company policies. Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and internal stakeholders to streamline travel and expense processes. Act as the primary point of contact for all travel and expense-related queries, ensuring efficient resolution and support. Continuously review and improve travel and expense processes to enhance operational efficiency and compliance. What You’ll Bring Demonstrated experience in end-to-end process ownership, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability. Proven ability to manage and prioritise a dynamic workload while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy. Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external parties.
