Permanent, Part-time | 3 days per week | Hurstville About the Opportunity An exciting opportunity has become available for a Companion Animals Administration Officer to join the team. This position works to promote greater compliance with registration requirements and the accuracy of data held on the NSW Companion Animals Register (CAR). As part of the Parking and Rangers Team within the Environment & Planning Directorate, this position encompasses a diverse range of duties focussed on promoting responsible companion animal ownership within the community. The purpose of this role is to undertake administrative duties primarily focussed on maintaining up to date records held on the CAR, liaising with pet owners and where necessary, to commence regulatory action in accordance with the provisions of the Companion Animals Act 1998 . This position works closely with the Rangers Team to assist with their regulatory functions and to create tasks that require additional investigation. These key functions help to improve rehoming rates for lost animals by improving the number of correctly identified animals in the area. Team members are encouraged to show initiative, while working within legislative constraints to develop effective and efficient processes that support the goals of this dynamic role.
