With a team across a range of functions, they are looking for a General Manager of Sales & Marketing to lead the Sales and Marketing in the hospitality and events industry. Position Terms: Full-time, permanent role Working 5 days a week in the office Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 plus super plus bonuses The Role: The General Manager of Sales & Marketing will oversee sales, marketing, business development, and revenue management, to drive sustainable growth and profitability. This role requires a strategic visionary who can align General Manager of Sales & Marketing functional teams, optimise pricing and distribution strategies, and cultivate strong relationships with key clients and partners. Key Responsibilities include; Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with company financial objectives. Identify revenue streams and sales opportunities of all business units. Oversee sales teams to ensure achievement of targets for venue sales and event management services. Build strong relationships with corporate clients, event organisers and partners. Align marketing to drive sales, brand awareness, and customer engagement. Develop marketing strategy to achieve sales goals and objectives. Identify and secure strategic partnerships, and corporate agreements. Expand into new markets and customer segments to increase market share. Optimise pricing strategies and venue packages to maximise profitability. Collaborate on forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis for all revenue streams. Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams in sales, marketing and event management. Foster departmental collaboration to ensure alignment with company goals. Leverage data-driven insights to track performance, refine strategies, and inform decision-making. Monitor key metrics such as venue occupancy rates, event spends and event profitability. Ensure a seamless and exceptional customer experience at all touch points. The Candidate: The successful candidate will have strong sales and marketing experience within the events and/or hospitality industry. Proven experience in leadership and people management is essential for this role. Proven experience in sales leadership roles within hospitality and/or events. Strong expertise in sales, marketing and revenue management. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies. Exceptional leadership and team-building skills. Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales analytics and forecasting tools. Excellent communication and relationship management abilities. Exceptional organisational and time management skills. Ability to work from the office 5 days a week. Ability to work outside of normal business hours and weekends for events when required.
