Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Tester to join a dynamic technology team delivering innovative, fit-for-purpose ICT solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in embedding effective test automation practices across a suite of modern platforms including cloud-hosted systems, mobile applications, CRM portals, and more. This role is ideal for someone passionate about driving quality and efficiency through automation and continuous improvement. Role - Automation Tester Contract - 12 months with Extension Location - Anywhere in Australia Working Rights - Australian Citizens or Baseline Clearance Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks supporting both backend and UI components, with a strong focus on accessibility. Establish coding standards and best practices for test automation across the team. Develop and execute automated tests aligned with sprint goals and acceptance criteria. Write and maintain manual test scenarios where required. Collaborate within Scrum teams to integrate automation into workflows and build processes. Contribute to the continuous improvement of automation testing strategies and practices. Support the growth of automation capabilities across the testing team. Essential Criteria Proven experience in building and executing automated test regimes within DevOps environments using CI/CD methodologies. Hands-on expertise with UI functional automation tools such as Playwright , Selenium WebDriver , and BDD frameworks like Cucumber . Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins , Bamboo , and building automation pipelines. Strong skills in testing REST APIs using Postman , and scripting automation for API tests. Experience testing Salesforce and MuleSoft based solutions. Minimum 5 years in a test automation role. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering , Computer Science , Mathematics , or a related technical field. Desirable Criteria Passion for quality assurance and automation. Clear and effective communication skills. Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and a proactive, autonomous work style. Interest in accessible design and development practices.
