Senior Network Engineer — Eagle Farm, Brisbane

Our Group Support Services located in Eagle Farm are looking for a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join the team. This position will oversee the design, deployment, and ongoing management of our enterprise network infrastructure. This role demands advanced expertise in Cisco technologies, a comprehensive understanding of network architecture, and strong problem-solving skills to address complex issues within a high-availability environment. Key responsibilities: Design, configure, and maintain enterprise-level Cisco networks, including LAN/WAN/WLAN and security infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers). Lead and manage network infrastructure projects such as upgrades, migrations, and new deployments. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement enhancements for optimal reliability and availability. Implement and manage network security protocols, VPNs, and access control policies in line with best practices. Provide Tier 3 support, maintain documentation, and mentor a small team of network engineers. The Applicant Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience), with 5–7 years of hands-on Cisco network engineering experience. Cisco certifications (CCNP/CCIE preferred) and strong proficiency in routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, etc.). Expertise in network security technologies and standards, including Cisco SASE, Secure Firewall, ISE, Umbrella, TACACS, 802.1x, and PKI. Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki stack (MX/Z, MS, MR, MV), and familiarity with SD-WAN, DNA Center, and cloud networking (AWS, Azure). Skilled in network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco DNA/Catalyst Centre), VoIP, QoS, and IT/OT environments. Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with flexibility for hybrid work, on-call rotation, occasional travel, and physical setup of network equipment.
