Your Opportunity As the Teacher Aide, you will: * Contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities. The Teacher Aide reports to the Principal or nominated delegate as appropriate. The reporting relationship to teachers may be changed by the Principal on a regular basis to fulfil specific needs within the school. When supporting students with specific health procedures, a Teacher Aide will be under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse or medical practitioner. Your Responsibilities As the Teacher Aide, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Provide assistance to teachers and students with class material preparation, including cutting timber, plastic, and metal to size for class sets. * Provide in-class support to students and teachers as required. * Undertake maintenance of machinery, including oiling machinery, changing blades, and keeping a maintenance register. * Act as storeroom manager to keep track of the material store and ensure the smooth transition of new materials arriving, including storing materials and preparing and allocating them to workshop classes. * Provide support to the Head of Department and teachers by undertaking miscellaneous duties, including painting, creating tool boards, and replenishing stock in classrooms. * Research, contact, and order from suppliers approved by the Head of Department. * Assist with First Aid where required. * Perform other duties as directed by the Head of Department, Leadership Team, and Business Manager. * Act on Workplace Health and Safety issues immediately.
