Dakabin State High School has created a culture of high performing teachers by investing in them through a timetable which has created space for a 70 minute paid Professional Learning Team time whilst also engaging students in Academic Intervention in English, Mathematics and Science. Teachers are also able to engage in Curriculum Teaching and Learning time each morning as another initiative of Dakabin State High School investing in their staff. The school also has a dedicated Deputy Principal of HR to offer support to teachers regarding their work/life balance and issues, as well as be able to support staff in a coaching capacity. As of 2025 the school has also invested in a Deputy Principal of Student Engagement to lead our Restorative, Inclusive, Student Engagement (RISE) Team. The teachers are supported by their faculty HOD as well as a behaviour HUB with a dedicated Deputy Principal, HOD Student Engagement and Year Level Coordinators to support classroom practice. Dakabin State High School also has an Aspirant program which is currently providing the opportunity for staff to gain opportunities in higher level positions. Dakabin State High School also supports New and Beginning Teachers in a fortnightly program.
