Information Technology Services (ITS) Full-time, fixed term position through December 2025 Base salary will be in the range $91,658 - $98,330 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 6) Based at our St Lucia location About This Opportunity We are seeking a Software Engineer to provide development and support for our suite of in-house developed applications in ITS. This position provides opportunities with software design, development, deployment and maintenance. Our ideal candidate will have a solutions-focused attitude, excellent communication skills and experience delivering exceptional customer service. You will fit in with a small team of around 10 as well as being able and happy to work independently. Key responsibilities will include: Implements, deploys and maintains ITS software applications. Undertakes development of information technology projects with regard to the professional qualifications and experience of the position. Investigates, evaluates, and reports on application bugs, features, development and standards. Develops code in a team-oriented environment to an industry standard level of quality and assurance. Proven experience in the analysis, design, development, systems management, and maintenance of multi-user systems or applications. Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript, particularly in microservices-based architectures. Demonstrated experience with both relational and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, Postgres, MySQL, or Oracle. Frontend development experience using modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue, or Ember). Experience with cloud-based development environments, preferably AWS or Azure. Familiarity with Linux, Docker containers, Infrastructure as Code, and mobile development for iOS and Android is desirable. Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple concurrent projects and adapt to tight deadlines and evolving technologies.
