This position is dedicated to delivering high-quality Visual and Media Arts education to primary students within a collaborative and innovative learning environment. The purpose of this position is to inspire and unlock each student's potential, preparing them for future success through engaging and meaningful artistic experiences. Key responsibilities include teaching Visual Arts and coordinating the After School Art program, as well as overseeing art competitions. This role is a part time position (equivelant to 3 days per week). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Teach Visual and Media Arts to Primary students in an innovative and collaborative environment. • Unlock students' true potential, preparing them for unlimited success. • Provide high-quality education, development, and care. • Engage effectively with students, parents, guardians, and colleagues, aligning with Reddam House’s educational philosophy. • Assist with the coordination of the After School Art program, art competitions and points. • Teaching Visual Arts to Kindergarten and Year 1 as well as Media Arts to Years 3-6.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: • A teaching degree with a minimum of four years of post-qualification experience, specialising in Visual and Media Arts or a closely related subject. • Experience with the NESA syllabus content. • High expectations and aspirations for all students. • A commitment to the overall development of young people. • An open-minded approach and willingness to learn and develop. • A demonstrable passion for teaching and a proven track record. • Possesses calm, warm, and professional demeanour. QUALIFICATIONS • A recognised teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education or equivalent. • Accreditation with NESA.
