Blue Mountains Grammar School (BMGS) is a co-educational Christian School in the Anglican tradition for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. We are seeking a passionate and adaptable PDHPE Teacher to join our Senior School team on a permanent part-time basis (0.4 FTE), commencing in Term 3 2025. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality PDHPE programs that promote student physical health, mental wellbeing, and personal development. You will create an engaging learning environment that supports students in developing positive health practices, fitness habits, and a lifelong commitment to wellbeing. Employment Overview Permanent part-time (0.4 FTE) Based at BMGS Wentworth Falls campus Commencing Term 3 - Mon 21st July 2025 Salary in accordance with the Independent Schools Teachers CMEA Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver PDHPE programs aligned with the NSW curriculum; Foster student physical health, mental wellbeing, and social development; Create engaging lessons that cater to a range of student abilities and interests; Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback; Provide support to students in achieving their personal health and fitness goals; Collaborate with other staff to integrate PDHPE content with school-wide initiatives; Encourage positive student participation in physical activities and health programs; Maintain records of student achievement and wellbeing; Communicate with parents regarding student progress and areas for improvement; Uphold the School’s values and contribute to a positive school culture. Requirements Appropriate teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation; Experience teaching PDHPE at the secondary school level; Strong knowledge of physical health, wellbeing, and fitness education; Ability to cater to diverse student needs and learning styles; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Passion for promoting student health and personal development; Ability to manage student behaviour effectively; Commitment to ongoing professional development; Full Australian work rights; A current NSW Working With Children Check, or the ability to obtain one.
