Description The Role: he Early Childhood Teacher is responsible for implementing and maintaining an exemplary program for children in their care. The Early Learning Centre has a programs for 3- and 4-year-olds as well as staff childcare service for 3 months to 3 year-olds. Reporting to the Director of Early Learning Centre the Early Childhood Teacher is a valued member of the community, possess a passion for learning and has the ability to inspire this in children representing the Carey values of Care, Growth and Respect. This permanent, part-time position is 0.36FTE and required across three short days per week (Tuesday, Thursday & Friday). The role will commence Term 1, 2026 and is based at the Kew campus. The Person: To be successful in this position, you will have: Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent Current first aid qualifications (or willingness to obtain) Accuracy and attention to detail Demonstrated oral and written communication skills Demonstrate exemplary rapport and good relationships with children Demonstrated knowledge of child development and early childhood teaching practices Proven ability to work as a member of a team Proven ability to maintain the confidence and respect of staff, students and parents Proven organisational skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to excellence in early childhood teaching with a commitment to ongoing development of knowledge in new developments within the field Highly proficient in using information communication technologies A valid Victorian Institute Teaching (VIT) registration is a requirement of employment in this position.
