Support Assistant – Community Care Part Time Position Description 2215-Support-Assistant-Part-Time.pdf(PDF, 280KB) The Opportunity We are currently seeking a Support Assistant to assist clients in maintaining their independence while living in their own homes for as long as possible. This is a permanent part time position with a minimum of 10 hours per week, with the potential for more hours depending on client’s needs and your availability. As a Support Assistant you will assist our clients by helping them with everyday activities such as (but not limited to): Support and assistance with personal care Household cleaning and laundry Assistance with shopping and Welfare checks Social Support Group What we are looking for in you Essential Criteria: Certificate III in Individual Support or qualifications and experience in a similar role Current Class ‘C’ driver licence Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check clearance Current Provide First Aid and CPR Certificates Own a roadworthy, well maintained and tidy vehicle, available for use in day to day duties if a Bland Community Care Service vehicle is unavailable Current Comprehensive Car Insurance A caring and empathetic nature You want to make a difference in your community Highly Desirable Criteria: Basic Administration Skills NDIS Worker Screening NDIS Worker Orientation Module What we have to offer: As a valued member of our team, you’ll receive the following benefits: Competitive salary and opportunity for salary progression Starting hourly rate from $30.47 An 12% Council Superannuation contribution 5 weeks annual leave Access to 6.5 weeks long service leave after 5 years of service Roster flexibility Continuous learning and career development opportunities Subsidised Corporate Uniform Allowance, overtime and call out penalties when required.
