The Role This position reports to the Corporate Communications and Events Manager and is based in Windsor NSW. The primary purpose of this position is to support and promote the image of Council by producing high quality artwork, signage and printing whilst effectively meeting and exceeding the requirements of internal and external customers. About You You will currently be studying a Bachelor of Graphic Design and will have already completed your 1st year. You will be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as your strong problem-solving capability. You will be proactive in your approach to learning and be willing to commit to an 18-month training plan with regular milestones needing to be achieved. You will be open and responsive to feedback and be able to demonstrate your interest in supporting Hawkesbury Council’s purpose ‘To build a Hawkesbury that is loved by its people’. Essential Criteria Must be currently undertaking Bachelor of Design (Graphic and Communication Design), minimum year 1 already completed Available to commit to 3-4 days per week Artistic design skills and ability to translate these to computer-operated systems Demonstrated computer skills including the use of software programs for graphic artwork - including Adobe Create Suite - and the ability to learn new programs High level attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Time management and professionalism Working with Children Check (WWCC) About Us At Hawkesbury Council, we know that our team are at the heart of everything we do, and we are proud of our team and the culture that we continue to build.
