We’re seeking dedicated Male Disability Support Workers to join a small, person-centred team supporting a 36-year-old man living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disability (ID), and OCD . He is non-verbal and recently transitioned into Supported Independent Living (SIL) after living his entire life with family. This role requires someone who can provide structured, consistent, and compassionate support . About the Person You’ll Be Supporting He is a curious and creative individual with a strong interest in: Thomas the Tank Engine Lego Swimming (requires in-water support) Yoga, walking, and nature Sea life and aquariums Eating out YouTube He communicates through a highly personal daily writing ritual – full training provided. Routines, particularly in the morning and at bedtime, are essential to his wellbeing and must be followed consistently. ______________________________________ Available Permanent Part-Time Positions All shifts listed under each position must be completed in full by the same support worker, noting that no changes can be made to shift times. Position 1 – 44 hours per fortnight Week 1 Tuesday: 7:00am – 2:00pm (7 hours) Wednesday: 7:00am – 2:00pm (7 hours) Saturday: 3:00pm – 7:00am (sleepover 11:00pm–7:00am) (8 hours) Sunday: 3:00pm – 7:00am (sleepover 11:00pm–7:00am) (8 hours) Week 2 Thursday: 7:00am – 2:00pm (7 hours) Friday: 7:00am – 2:00pm (7 hours) ______________________________________ Position 2 – 35 hours per fortnight Week 1 Tuesday: 7:00pm – 7:00am (sleepover 11:00pm–7:00am) (4 hours) Friday: 7:00pm – 7:00am (sleepover 11:00pm–7:00am) (4 hours) Week 2 Monday: 7:00am – 2:00pm (7 hours) Friday: 7:00pm – 7:00am (sleepover 11:00pm–7:00am) (4 hours) Saturday: 3:00pm – 7:00am (sleepover 11:00pm–7:00am) (8 hours) Sunday: 3:00pm – 7:00am (sleepover 11:00pm–7:00am) (8 hours) _______________________________________ What We’re Looking For Confident swimmer (in-water support required) Strong technical skills (e.g. iPads, YouTube, media sharing) Emotionally resilient, calm, and patient Comfortable working in a structured, routine-based environment Highly observant with strong attention to behavioural cues and rituals Mobile phone use is restricted during shift hours unless for client engagement or emergencies. Epilepsy training is not essential but preferred (due to past absence seizures) Mandatory Requirements Current First Aid & CPR NDIS Worker Screening Check VIC Working With Children Check (Employee) Valid driver's licence and comprehensive car insurance Completion of NDIS Quality, Safety and You online module Pay Rates (SCHADS Award – Permanent Part-Time, Above Award Leave Entitlements) Day shift: $34.19 Afternoon shift (ends between 8pm and midnight, Mon–Fri): $38.46 Active night shift (finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Mon–Fri): $39.32 Saturday: $51.29 Sunday: $68.38 Public holiday: $85.48 Why Join Us?
