Job Description The School of Education and Professional Studies (EPS) is seeking a highly organised and efficient Administration Officer to join our team. Key responsibilities include but not limited to: Provide general administrative support including diary and travel management, record management, managing the flow of information, maintaining and reviewing administrative processes and making suggestions for improvement. Perform routine research and project work, including data collection and entry and the preparation and formatting of correspondence, presentations, reports and project applications. Design and maintain databases and online systems, undertake procurement and financial transactions using the University’s finance systems (eg payment and invoice requests) and participate on user testing/implementation working parties for new/upgraded University systems as required. Support working parties and ad hoc committees including the preparation of agendas and minutes and ensure follow up of actions. Provide standard policy and procedural advice, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures. Prepare advice and recommendations relating to projects and administrative matters. Review and update web content ensuring relevance, and organise and coordinate events and activities. About you To be considered for this position, you will hold a minimum of an associate diploma qualification and at least two years relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant skills, knowledge, and experience. In addition to the above, you will demonstrate: An ability to provide administrative support including diary and travel management, record management, managing the flow of information, maintaining, and reviewing administrative processes and making suggestions for improvement; An ability to perform routine research and project work, including data collection and entry and the preparation and formatting of correspondence, presentations, reports, and project applications; Experience in the administration and management of budgets and accounts, and undertaking procurement and financial transactions using the University’s finance systems; An ability to draft, format and prepare a range of forms of communication including reports, submissions, and presentations, and perform ad hoc research and project activities; Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills; and Experience in event coordination and web content editing. What we can offer This is a fixed term (until 31 January 2026), full-time position and will be primarily based at Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations. Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples. Salary Range The full-time base salary for a HEW Level 5 is in the range $79,705 - $89,416 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation. The total package is in the range $93,255 - $104,617 per annum.
