Senior HV Electrical Engineer — City, North Canberra

We’re looking for experienced HV Electrical Engineers to join our Energy team and provide a balance of technical delivery, project management and mentoring to help a diverse range of clients tackle the energy transition. You will assist clients from a broad range of sectors, including Transmission & Distribution, Generation, Renewables, Transportation, Property & Buildings and Defence. Working with a dynamic team and an ambitious growth plan, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: • Protection and Secondary systems design for transmission & distribution projects up to 500kV • Utilising your expertise across transmission lines, underground cables and power system earthing designs • Leading and coordinating design projects with various disciplines including SCADA, and Power Systems • Developing and reviewing technical documentation such as design reports, equipment specifications, cable schedules, and interface documents, with the support of our Technical Director Engineers What you will bring to the team: • Extensive detailed design experience in protection, control, automation, SCADA, auxiliary systems design on Australian utility projects e.g. Transgrid, Powerlink, Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy. • Proven experience in protection studies, settings calculation and implementation. • Ability to lead technically and drive required outcomes on power system work packages in generation, transmission and distribution. • Client-facing experience is a plus, but not essential. • Proficiency in proposal and report writing, as well as familiarity with testing and commissioning support activities, is expected.
