ABOUT THE ROLE EPEC is on the lookout for Commissioning Technicians and Commissioning Engineers to help us deliver high-quality substation projects. You’ll be making sure both primary plant and secondary systems are commissioned accurately and efficiently. Our Commissioning team offers a vast array of services including: R2 Testing | Real-Time Testing with HIL Technology | Custom Compliance Test Plans | Regulatory Compliance Testing & Reporting | Generator Compliance Services | Commercial Operations Enablement | Hold Point Testing | OEM Vendor Debugging | SCADA & Remote Comms Enablement In this role, you’ll manage commissioning activities, working with both internal teams and contractors to keep everything on track, compliant, and within scope. You’ll also use your industry know-how to develop commissioning and outage plans, testing procedures, and manage the staging of works. We’re seeking someone who can effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities in dynamic environments, and collaborate seamlessly within multidisciplinary teams. If you possess robust engineering expertise and a cooperative approach to project delivery, we encourage you to apply. ABOUT YOU You’ve got a degree in Engineering (or higher) that qualifies you for membership with Engineers Australia as a Professional Engineer. You bring 5 years of experience working on complex, multi-discipline high voltage grid connection projects—ideally in design, build, and commissioning environments. You’re dedicated, proactive, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves to solve problems and hit tight deadlines. You know how to build strong relationships with clients and can confidently influence senior stakeholders. You’ve got a solid handle on risk management and quality assurance.
