THE ROLE As an Air Freight Operations Specialist / Driver , you will manage shipments from end to end through domestic, import and export air freight procedures. This hands-on role involves a moderate level of phone communication and a high level of email communication with clients, customers, and suppliers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE Liaise with customers at every stage of their shipment process Interact with customers upon delivery or pick-up, ensuring high-quality service Find solutions for highly regulated shipments by air and road Book export airline shipments and track the progress of shipments Check Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and handle Dangerous Goods (DG) shipments, including repacking and documentation Assist with processing, repacking, and preparing shipments. Load and unload delivery goods Maintain accurate driving records and vehicle maintenance (mileage, fuel receipts, etc.) Collaborate with in-house teams and other companies to ensure the timely pickup and collection of freight Consolidate information and liaise with our Broker for prompt release of inbound international cargo Perform collections and deliveries within Brisbane and surrounding areas TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU WILL NEED High attention to detail Air Freight Operations Specialist / Driver experience Valid/Clean driver’s license Computer literacy and proficiency in using logistics systems Strong problem-solving abilities Ability to communicate clearly and provide alternative solutions to clients and peers Excellent multitasking, prioritisation, and time management skills Dangerous Goods (DG) accreditation is a plus, though training will be provided Knowledge of airfreight operations is preferred Ability to work both independently and as part of a team A committed, reliable, and proactive attitude READY TO MAKE THE MOVE?
