About the Centre/Service Early Childhood Teacher – 3-Year-Old Group Commencing Term 3, 2025 (including a 3-month probationary period) Part-Time – 11.5 hours per week Gower Street Kindergarten (GSK) Gower Street Kindergarten (GSK) is a highly regarded, community-run kindergarten known for delivering stimulating programs built on a play-based, inquiry learning philosophy. We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to lead our 3-year-old group. This part-time role involves 11.5 hours per week, comprising 7 hours of contact time and 3.5 hours of non-contact time. The position will commence in Term 3, 2025, and includes a 3-month probationary period. About the Role As the Teacher of our 3-year-old group, you will be responsible for creating and delivering a developmentally appropriate, engaging, and inclusive educational program that fosters each child’s learning and development. You will work collaboratively with our experienced team to support a flexible learning environment that encourages children from all backgrounds to reach their individual potential. We are looking for a creative and nurturing 3 year old teacher to join our vibrant learning community. If you have a passion for early childhood development and the talent to create an inclusive and welcoming program for our 3 year old children this is the role for you. Position objective Develop and provide a quality, developmentally appropriate program for the children. This program is to be developed in consultation with the Committee (employer), educational leader, and the parents of children attending, and be responsive to the needs of the community. Provide leadership while working as a member of a cooperative team. Operate professionally at all times and ensure that the service meets the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law (National Law), Education and Care Services National Regulations (Regulations), relevant curriculum framework, the Quality Improvement Plan, and policies and procedures of the service. Key Selection Criteria Knowledge of the Children’s Services Regulations and an understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, including writing transition statements Sound knowledge of Child Development and developmentally appropriate practice Experience in planning programs that celebrate inclusion and diversity. The ability to plan, prepare and provide stimulating programs for both individuals and the group based on their needs, interests, and stage of development.
