The Operations Team is looking for a highly motivated and talented Cloud Engineer to develop the platform that powers several mission critical applications. This team is directly responsible for building, managing and expanding the platform and tools that enable software releases in a fast-paced enterprise environment. We operate a number of public cloud (AWS) environments with a combination of cloud-native and custom-built solutions. You will get the opportunity to be involved in a variety of cloud-native, containerised, and serverless projects, and become a key member of a team dedicated to supporting solutions that help some of the most vulnerable people in Australia. You will: Contribute to improving the availability, performance, cost and stability of the Infoxchange operations platform. Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure, providing advice to development teams on aspects of new services such as cost, security, back-ups and monitoring. Troubleshoot by working with developers, QA’s and support teams to resolve issues as required. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment processes. Collaborate with software development teams to ensure efficient and reliable application deployment. Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot AWS resources to ensure performance and cost-effectiveness. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code with CloudFormation, Terraform and Ansible, while constantly looking at ways to improve. Implement security best practices following industry standards, ensuring the security of our data and resources in AWS and on-prem. Evaluate and recommend new AWS services and features that can benefit our applications and customers. Participate in on-call rotation for systems managed infrastructure. About you (Key Selection Criteria) To succeed in this role at Infoxchange, you will demonstrate: Qualifications and Specialist Expertise 3 years of AWS cloud administration An understanding of UNIX/Linux systems administration with a focus on RHEL based distributions Strong experience with AWS services (e.g. IAM, RDS, EC2, ECS, EFS, SES, SNS, Cognito), ideally with certifications to show your expertise Scripting experience in Python/Bash Proven config management experience in Ansible/Terraform/CloudFormation Strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar tools Experience with version control systems, particularly Git and GitHub Solid understanding of containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) Personal Attributes St rong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills A team player with the ability to learn from and share knowledge with immediate team members and colleagues throughout the organisation Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences Keen interest in learning new technologies and methodologies, with a focus on innovation, stability and cost-effectiveness What do we offer?
