Bookkeeper & Accounts Administration — Croydon, Burwood Area

About the Role We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accounts Administrator to support the financial operations of our business as a key team member transitions towards retirement. This role offers approximately 10 hours per week , split over Thursday (6 hrs) and Friday (4 hrs) , with a standard start time of 8:30am . You will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping and payroll functions, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with ATO requirements. Working closely with our internal team, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of the business. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using MYOB Process accounts payable and receivable Perform payroll functions including superannuation and leave calculations Prepare and submit ATO lodgements (BAS, PAYG, Payroll Tax, etc.) Conduct bank reconciliations and manage electronic payments Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting Maintain general office administrative duties as needed Use Microsoft Excel for reconciliations and reporting tasks Collaborate with internal team members for seamless knowledge transfer Skills and Experience Proven experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounts administration role Proficiency with MYOB accounting software Strong understanding of payroll processing and ATO reporting requirements Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently Confidence using Microsoft Excel for data entry, reconciliation, and basic reporting Familiarity with electronic banking systems Good communication and organisational skills What We Offer Stable, long-term part-time employment (2 days/week) Flexible and supportive work environment Opportunity to work closely with an experienced team member before their planned retirement Hourly rate of $43–$45 super To Apply: Please contact Andrew at [email protected] or apply online.
