Operating from a modern, high-capacity production facility, the company is focused on safety, innovation, and delivering top-tier food products across the country. About the Role This is a key role responsible for maintaining the electrical and mechanical integrity of production equipment to ensure maximum uptime, safety, and efficiency. Reporting to the Site Reliability Manager, the Maintenance Fitter / Electrician will perform a mix of preventative and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment optimization across a busy manufacturing site. Key Responsibilities Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults to minimize disruptions Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrades of machinery Carry out inspections and proactively identify improvement opportunities Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet operational targets Comply with all WHS procedures and company policies Support ongoing reliability and continuous improvement initiatives What You’ll Need to Succeed Minimum 5 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment Solid mechanical trade background – fitting or electrical qualifications Strong knowledge of industrial production equipment, including PLCs and automation Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and reading technical drawings Resilience and adaptability in fast-paced and evolving operational environments Preventative maintenance systems experience is highly regarded Desirable (Not Essential) Basic electrical knowledge (if mechanically qualified) Welding and fabrication capability Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement practices What’s on Offer Permanent full-time role with competitive salary package $120,000 – $136,000 inclusive of overtime (no separate overtime payments) Time in Lieu for additional days worked Supportive team and safety-first workplace culture Development and internal career growth opportunities Work with cutting-edge manufacturing technology Ready for your next career move?
