The Role Are you ready to swap the chaos of commercial kitchens for calm and care? We're seeking a compassionate and capable Chef to join our team and contribute to the wellbeing of our clients through nourishing, home-style meals. In this role, you'll cater for a small group of up to 24 clients per service — no a la carte stress, no high-pressure prep, and absolutely no late nights or early starts. Our kitchen runs like a well-oiled machine, offering you space to breathe and take pride in your craft. The Day-to-Day The Chef / Cook will hold responsibility for the following tasks, which will make up the majority of the work: Planning and preparing fresh, balanced meals according to pre-set menus Meeting dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-aware options Maintaining a high standard of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness Coordinating stock control, ordering, and waste minimisation Collaborating with our wellness and clinical teams to support client recovery through nutrition Creating a calm, warm meal experience for clients The Successful Candidate Will Hold: Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (preferred but not essential) Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or equivalent Understanding of HACCP and food safety standards First Aid and CPR certification (or be willing to obtain) Experience in residential, healthcare or hospitality cooking settings (desirable) What We Offer A peaceful, purpose-driven workplace in the Maleny hinterland A supportive team and positive kitchen culture No split shifts, no late nights Weekend penalty rates Hours with flexibility for lifestyle A chance to make a meaningful difference every day How to Apply To apply, please submit your up-to-date resume and a cover letter (no more than 1 page) telling us about your interest in the role and why we might be a fit for you.
