We’re committed to quality and value for money. About the role: Our established and growing team is looking for a Civil Engineer Draftsperson with 2 years of experience in the Civil sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the drawing, planning and organization for our residential and commercial projects. As a civil engineering draftsperson, you will be required to prepare detailed drawings and plans for civil engineering work in support of Civil Engineering Professionals The position will offer a competitive base salary of $75,000 -$80,000 plus superannuation Key Responsibilities • Prepare sketches, charts, tabulations, plans and designs for civil engineering works such as drainage, water supply, sewerage reticulation systems and other structures. • Performing calculations for layouts and designs and assisting in design computations and cost estimates. • Conducting field surveys and providing accurate, reliable date for use in design activities. • Civil and Structural documentation and modelling in AutoCAD. • Interpreting work assignment instructions, applying appropriate procedures and selecting equipment. • Coordination with clients, other consultants, internal engineers and modelers for the documentation of structural engineering projects. • Successfully plan and complete assigned projects within agreed budgets and deadlines, in line with consistent company and project standards. • Review and processing of vendor data and drawings. • assisting Construction Managers, Architects, and Surveyors in planning and organisation • interpreting plans, regulations, and codes of practice • preparing preliminary sketches, working drawings and specifications • preparing, editing and revising plans, maps, charts and drawings • Generating comprehensive working and construction drawings using AutoCAD to the specific requirements • Ensuring all designs and documents comply with Australian Standards, codes of practice • Performing thorough checks on drawings for dimensional accuracy and completeness, updating plans in response to feedback from site inspections or regulatory changes. • Adapting designs based on feedback from project leads, ensuring all alterations are captured in updated drawing sets.
