Medical Receptionist — Gympie, Gympie Area

About the role Gympie Day and Evening Clinic is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to join our dedicated team in Gympie, QLD. As the first point of contact for our patients, this role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of our busy medical practice and delivering exceptional customer service. Main Tasks: Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner Scheduling appointments and managing the clinic's appointment calendar Managing patient registrations, record-keeping, and data entry Handling patient inquiries and coordinating referrals and test results Assisting with the preparation of medical documents and correspondence Providing general administrative support to the clinical team as required Perform other administrative duties as directed by the Practice Manager or Principal Doctor/s. Skills and Experience Requirement: At least one year experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer service role within the healthcare industry Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with patients, clinicians, and colleagues in a professional and empathetic manner Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively Proficient in using medical software, databases, and Microsoft Office applications A caring and compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in providing high-quality patient care Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict privacy policies What we offer At Gympie Day and Evening Clinic, we are committed to the wellbeing and development of our employees.
