Our development pipeline has picked up pace with our flagship Dinawan Energy Hub project (wind, solar, BESS) having been awarded Access Rights and other key projects being actively pushed towards financial close. To support that, we are growing our legal team and are now hiring two key roles, a Senior Legal Counsel and a Legal Counsel to complement our existing team. The Opportunities Reporting directly to our Chief Legal Officer, both roles will provide critical legal support across our portfolio, including our operational Bomen Solar Farm and our growing pipeline of solar, wind, and BESS projects across the National Electricity Market. You will be involved across the full project lifecycle, drafting, reviewing, advising and negotiating across the spectrum of legal issues and contracts related to development (including land agreements, grid contracts and PPAs), financing, construction, and operations. These are hands-on roles that offer the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and external advisors and stakeholders in a fast-paced and purpose-driven environment. What we’re looking for: We are recruiting two roles – Senior Legal Counsel (>8 years) and Legal Counsel (3-6 years PQE): Senior Legal Counsel The successful candidate will have worked for several years in private practice or in-house environments on major infrastructure projects (ideally renewable energy projects) and have a deep understanding of the legal issues and contracts relevant to bringing a project through its development phase into construction, and then operation Substantial experience advising on, drafting and negotiating contracts in a range of the following areas is required: land agreements, project approvals, procurement/construction contracts, grid connection contracts, PPAs, M&A agreements and project finance agreements. That is, the successful candidate will come ready to hit the ground running in key workstreams. This role will support our operational Bomen Solar Farm in relation to asset management, O&M and related contractual advice. Experience with government contracts (especially LTESAs, CISAs or Access Rights agreements), will be well regarded. Experience with governance and compliance activities (e.g. NER, SOCI, [MT1] FIRB) will be well regarded. Legal Counsel The successful candidate will have experience in advising on legal issues and drafting and negotiating a range of agreements relevant to renewable energy projects (e.g. NDAs, land agreements, project approvals, consultancy agreements and procurement contracts). Experience in the energy industry and with energy specific contracts will be well regarded, particularly experience with construction contracts. This role will support governance and compliance activities in the team, and experience with these activities (e.g. NER, SOCI, FIRB) will be well regarded. This role will provide legal research support across a range of issues relevant to renewable energy projects. Experience with government contracts (especially LTESAs, CISAs or Access Rights agreements), will be well regarded. You are comfortable taking ownership of your deliverables and you work just as well in a team as you do autonomously, and you have a flexible approach to change.
