About the Role We are currently seeking dynamic individuals and couples for full-time permanent and relief management positions. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of community stores, leading teams, managing inventory, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting local employment and development goals. These roles offer the opportunity to l ive and work in some of Australia’s most remote and culturally rich locations, while making a real difference in the lives of Aboriginal people. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage daily store operations, including opening/closing, sales, staff rosters, and merchandising. Ensure stock control, inventory accuracy, and timely ordering of goods. Uphold company policies and maintain compliance with WHS, food safety, and community standards. Train, supervise, and develop a multicultural team, including local Aboriginal staff. Provide excellent customer service, handle complaints professionally, and maintain strong community relations. Contribute to local initiatives, support cultural events, and act as a positive role model. Monitor financial performance: budgets, expenses, gross margins, and KPIs. Essential Criteria Minimum 2 years’ experience in supermarket or fast-moving consumer goods retail. Strong leadership, people management, and team development skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to remote and culturally diverse environments. Intermediate computer skills and quick learner of new systems. Ability to relocate and live in remote communities for extended periods. Unrestricted work rights in Australia. Desirable Skills Experience working in Aboriginal or remote communities. Food Safety Supervisor certificate. First Aid certification. Previous exposure to cross-cultural teams. Light mechanical or maintenance abilities.
