Melbourne, VIC Based NV1 Security clearance Length of Contract: 11 months Closing date: 25th June 2025 Tasks: Perform critical and complex engineering activities including engineering reviews and investigations. Engaging with stakeholders internal and external to the Branch to discover or validate information. Developing, reviewing and updating Safety Case Reports and Risk Logs either individually or as a working group participant. Participating in System Safety Workshops and System Safety Working Groups Experience, Skills and Qualifications : At least 3 years’ experience delivering engineering outcomes in a defence environment. Demonstrated experience and skills in the review and development of systems safety products, safety management systems, and systems safety analysis techniques. Attention to detail and excellent writing skills. Highly Desirable Experience and / or Qualifications: At least 8 years’ experience delivering engineering outcomes in a defence environment. Chartered Professional Engineer (Engineers Australia) and National Engineering Register. Experience with reviewing or producing engineering deliverables and reports. Experience working with external suppliers and stakeholders. Technical knowledge of radio frequency/network/communications and related equipment. Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering (Systems Engineering, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar) from an Australian institution, or a qualification gained elsewhere, that satisfies the requirements of the Washington Accord for recognition as a Professional Engineer.
