Cloud Support Engineer — Sydney, Sydney Region

We now have a great opportunity for two (2) Cloud Support Engineers within our Cloud business. As a Cloud Support Engineer within our IT Distribution business, your primary responsibility will be to provide frontline technical support to our Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) partners. This includes support across Microsoft CSP platforms (Modern Work and Azure) and AWS environments. You will play a key role in ensuring our partners receive timely, accurate, and high-quality support, enabling them to deliver exceptional service to their end customers This is a hands-on technical role requiring an understanding of cloud technologies, licensing models, and partner ecosystems. Key Responsibilities These can be summarised as follows: Provide Level 1 and 2 support for Microsoft CSP (Modern Work and Azure) and AWS-related queries. Assist partners with onboarding, provisioning, billing, and technical troubleshooting. Maintain accurate records in the service desk system and knowledge base. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve escalated issues. Ensure compliance with internal processes. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance partner experience. Contribute to documentation and training materials for internal and partner use. Participate in an on-call support roster as required. Work closely with local solution architects, regional and global support teams. Manage support tickets that have been escalated to Microsoft or AWS. Knowledge, Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in a cloud support or service desk environment, highly customer focused, with demonstrated knowledge in Microsoft and AWS cloud platforms. Other key knowledge, skills and experience includes: Experience supporting Microsoft and AWS cloud environments. Exposure to working with channel partners or resellers is highly desirable. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ-900, MS-900, AZ-104) are highly regarded. AWS certifications (e.g., Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate) are beneficial. Strong understanding of Microsoft CSP programs (Modern Work, Azure) and AWS. Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Exchange Online, Intune, and Azure subscriptions. Understanding of AWS core services (EC2, S3, IAM, etc.). Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Freshdesk, ServiceNow, Zendesk, or similar). Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
