Project Engineer - Structures — Melbourne, Melbourne Region

Company A growing Victorian structure's subcontractor, this business continues to thrive in Victorian market and is a trusted partner for Tier 1 Contractors on major infrastructure projects. Currently they are engaged on a number of major infrastructure projects, with their scope of works including Concrete, Structures, Formwork, Drainage and FRP works. They are now seeking a Project Engineer and Site Engineer to join them. Role As an Engineer your responsibilities will be varied and include; Coordinate with Managers and Superintendents on Engineering, temporary works, scheduling and status of the project. Provide general technical assistance to supervisory personnel. Interpret engineering documents and drawings for field personnel. Control field construction engineering and schedules for overall programs. Help develop detailed project plans, including scope objectives, deliverables, and resource allocation. Management of direct/indirect staff, plant and materials Prepare reports on progress, manpower and costs and coordinate the work scheduling and procurement. Background To be considered for this role you will have: Tertiary qualification in engineering Specialist experience in project engineering and civil construction Competent in planning and organising work schedules and a demonstrated ability to deliver to timelines Experience in structures, concrete, FRP and civil projects Demonstrated experience in management of subcontractors/suppliers Excellent communication and commercial management skills Commitment to HSE Apply An excellent salary package will be negotiated with the successful candidate's in line with experience.
