About Us Our client is one of the leading engineering and manufacturing organisation known for its high-quality delivery in the Defence and Aerospace sectors. Due to ongoing project growth, they are currently seeking a Manufacturing Manager to the chance to lead and enhance advanced manufacturing operations in a highly specialised and quality-driven environment About the role: Plan, coordinate, and oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities. Collaborate with scheduling and program teams to meet production timelines. Ensure optimal availability of materials, equipment, and tooling. Minimise downtime through proactive equipment and facility maintenance. Promote and maintain a safe and compliant working environment. Prepare production budgets, forecast needs, and monitor cost variances. Track key production metrics to improve efficiency and control costs. Manage headcount, labour hours, and wages within budget expectations. Lead the implementation of robust quality control systems. Conduct internal audits and inspections to maintain product integrity. Resolve quality issues efficiently to meet customer and regulatory standards. Motivate, lead, and support a multidisciplinary team. Build a strong culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation. Provide mentorship and development opportunities to team members. Lead Lean manufacturing initiatives and operational improvement projects. Identify and implement process improvements to optimise throughput and minimise waste. Skills and Experience: Advanced Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Minimum 8 years' experience in a production or manufacturing leadership role. Proven success in leading teams in high-precision, regulated manufacturing environments. Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools. Solid understanding of budgeting, resource planning, and quality frameworks. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies highly regarded.
