Overview: Full-time, Fixed-term position until January 2026 Salary Level HEW 5 17% Superannuation Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working About the role As Administrative Officer, Student Financials, you will be responsible for providing a high level of service and expertise across a range of systems, processes, and tasks managed by the team. You will work closely with the Coordinator, Student Financials to ensure the smooth functioning of RMIT’s operational processes, with a focus on the assessment of student applications for removal of debt. This role works closely with professional staff across colleges, schools, and the Academic Registrar’s Group to contribute to the continuous improvement of the student enrolment experience at RMIT, and occasionally provide enrolment support across Enrolment and Student Records. Please note: Occasional evening and weekend work and restrictions on annual leave may be necessary during peak periods. To be successful in this position, you will have: Demonstrated experience and expertise in the provision of quality student administration advice and services, including a sound knowledge of relevant policies, procedures and performance agreements. Proven initiative and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently to quickly extract the priority issues and take action without specific direction where appropriate. Demonstrated ability to contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes while meeting compliance obligations in a service oriented environment, including the development or refinement of process documentation. Effective self and work organisation skills, including ability to work quickly but accurately, ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure of work volume, ability to prioritise own tasks and capacity to work as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships and respond appropriately to sensitive information and situations; including demonstrated cultural sensitivity and cross-cultural communication skills. Demonstrated ability to use a range of information and communication technologies effectively including Microsoft Office software packages, web and email software, database use and management.
