Are you a manufacturing engineer with deep technical experience in grease production processes and a passion for optimisation and process excellence? Fuchs Lubricants (Australasia), part of the global Fuchs Group, is hiring a Senior Process Engineer & Technical Operations specialist on a 2-year fixed-term contract to help transform our grease manufacturing operations at our Sunshine plant. This role will be at the forefront of driving Right First Time (RFT) production outcomes, implementing advanced process controls, and building capability for long-term growth in a highly technical, fast-paced environment. About the Role: As part of the Supply Chain & Operations team, this position is responsible for delivering strategic and operational process improvements across the grease manufacturing function. You will lead initiatives to: •Optimise grease batch production processes, reduce variability, and improve quality using Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Statistical Process Control (SPC). •Implement and embed advanced process control systems to enhance consistency, reliability, and operational uptime. •Lead Root Cause Analysis and Corrective & Preventative Action (CAPA) processes to drive long-term stability. •Standardise process engineering frameworks across the business in line with global Fuchs benchmarks. •Build internal engineering capability by mentoring operational teams and delivering technical training. •Evaluate current plant constraints and deliver debottlenecking projects to support production scalability. •Design and execute capital investment strategies to support long-term capacity planning. •Lead on-site technical initiatives to reduce cycle times and enhance material flow. •Support sustainability improvements including odor reduction and energy-efficient technologies. About You: You are a hands-on, highly analytical process engineer with a strong record of success in high-volume manufacturing environments. Ideally, you have: •A bachelor’s degree in chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent. •7–10 years of experience in process engineering with deep expertise in grease or lubricant manufacturing highly desirable. •Strong command of Six Sigma, Lean, and SPC tools. •Experience leading cross-functional engineering projects. •Familiarity with ISO 9001, GMP, and EHS standards. •Strong leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills. •Exposure to digital manufacturing technologies, automation, and real-time data systems.
