The Strategic Sourcing Engineer - Melbourne will source and manage suppliers locally and globally, define sourcing strategies, and support business growth through cost control, supplier performance, and cross-functional collaboration, while ensuring safety and compliance. Your responsibilities: Develop supplier resources domestically and internationally to support the continuous growth of the business Establish sourcing strategies for the assigned procurement categories. Lead negotiations and sign framework agreements, pricing schedules, and procurement terms Manage the full process from identifying, certifying, and onboarding suppliers to driving supplier development Supplier Performance and Relationship Management Help improve supplier performance and develop a streamlined supplier portfolio to support both current and long-term business demands Build and maintain strong partnerships with strategic suppliers and improve supplier relationship management practices. Work with suppliers to ensure their operational decisions support the safety of employees and contractors (e.g., packaging, safe vehicle loading). Cost Management and Market Intelligence Monitor market trends and perform quarterly PPV reviews to manage and control total cost Support and drive sourcing activities in collaboration with the Global Category Manager (GCM) to meet cost, lead time, quality, and risk mitigation targets. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with internal teams and represent the Procurement function in various product improvement initiatives What you bring: Robust sourcing strategies and supplier development pipeline.
