About The Role Join our team as the Sales and Cruise Ship Support. Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, this role is a key part of the Cruise Whitsundays Sales & Marketing team, responsible for coordinating all cruise ship business, supporting merchandise operations, and assisting with broader sales administration. The position contributes to revenue growth, guest satisfaction, and smooth operations across cruise ship days and various sales channels. Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Coordinate and manage all aspects of cruise ship visits, including schedules, logistics, berth assignments, and guest movement, ensuring seamless operations. Provide on-the-ground assistance during ship days, including the setup and pack-down of terminal equipment and wayfinding to enhance guest experience. Liaise with internal departments, including operations, reservations, and ground staff, as well as external agencies like Border Force and security, to ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Oversee daily operations of gift shops at the terminal and on vessels to ensure high standards of retail displays, stock levels, and guest service. Manage inventory processes, including stock deliveries and transfers between locations, while collaborating with suppliers and merchandise teams to curate an appealing product mix. Maintain strong visual merchandising and implement regular stock rotation to optimise sales, while using POS systems for sales management, reporting, and inventory reconciliation. About You We are looking for a dynamic and proactive individual to join our team as the Sales and Cruise Ship Support. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills and a keen attention to detail, enabling them to effectively coordinate and manage the various aspects of cruise ship visits and retail operations. To be successful in this role you will have: Strong communication skills to build relationships across departments and with external partners. A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, always prioritising customer satisfaction. Creativity in merchandising and sales strategies to drive revenue growth. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks efficiently and effectively. A commitment to teamwork and collaboration, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work atmosphere. Proficiency with MS Office and general administrative skills. Familiar with Customlinc or similar reservation platform. Minimum 2 years customer services/sales experience; Minimum 1 year supervisory experience; Certificate IV in Tourism or Business Degree is highly advantageous.
