Exciting opportunity within a Federal Government Department Initial 18-month contract 1 x 18-month extension Rewarding hourly rates $$$ A leading Federal Government department is looking to engage multiple Junior AWS/Azure Cloud Engineers to support the design, build, and maintenance of secure cloud infrastructure solutions across national digital services. The successful candidates will contribute to the development and support of scalable environments leveraging Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native security frameworks. These hybrid roles are available across all major Australian states and territories. The successful Junior AWS/Azure Cloud Engineers will be responsible for, but not limited to: Designing, building, and maintaining Azure infrastructure solutions, including virtual networks, VMs, Entra ID, Azure Policies, and RBAC. Supporting automation through CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and Git. Monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the performance and reliability of cloud infrastructure. Producing high-quality documentation including SOPs and technical procedures. Applying cloud security practices aligned to PSPF, ASD, and ISM frameworks. The successful Junior AWS/Azure Cloud Engineers will have experience in the following: Experience with implementing AWS and Azure infrastructure solutions. Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and Git repositories such as GitLab or GitHub. Understanding of secure architecture practices within government or large-scale environments.
