Outdoor Educators Haileybury Rendall School are looking for Instructors to join our Outdoor Education team for the upcoming Year 9 Lake Argyle Programs. The dates we are looking to fill are: Term 3 - Year 9 Program Monday 18 August – Friday 5 September, Kayak/Canoe journey, Lake Argyle WA Opportunities for work on year 9 program. Saturdays is a rostered day off, at Lake Argyle. The HRS Outdoor Education Program is a progressive, expedition focused program from Year 5 to Year 9, we are looking for instructors to guide and help our students develop outdoor skills, navigate group challenges, and build positive experiences as they travel between our magnificent freshwater swimming holes and off-track campsites. Benefits: Accommodation maybe provided on campus in a shared house and then tent campsite at Lake Argyle. Work on program is at WA's Lake Argyle. Completion bonus to help staff with travel costs. Ideal candidates would be enthusiastic outdoor leaders, proficient in: Off-track navigation. Independent group leading. Quals and experience in Flatwater Kayak and/or canoe. Supervision of water-based activities. Personal qualities Well organised and highly skilled outdoor facilitator Ability to work autonomously and as part of the outdoor education team. Patient and relationship-oriented Enthusiastic and conscientious Hard working Ability to be part of a dynamic team, working with academic staff and volunteers. Essential Requirements Cert IV, Diploma or Degree in Outdoor Education/Recreation Current Wilderness First Aid Qualification Current CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates Journey Based Group Leading experience Previous experience working with youth Hold a current NT Working With Children Clearance (Ochre Card) Bronze Medallion or equivalent National Police Check Preference is given to staff willing to commit to the dates, however all applications are welcome.
