Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer with strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems. This role is critical in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of power and electrical services, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will contribute to high-quality project execution, system optimisation, and innovative solutions to meet operational and client-specific requirements. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and review electrical plans for solar PV systems across residential and commercial installations, ensuring compliance with relevant Australian Standards (e.g., AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 4777). Conduct feasibility assessments and technical evaluations of proposed solar projects, including energy yield simulations and return-on-investment calculations using industry-standard tools. Prepare detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and system layouts, integrating components such as inverters, circuit breakers, isolators, and switchboards. Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV systems, ensuring systems are configured and operating within design specifications and safety guidelines. Diagnose electrical faults and underperformance in installed systems, and provide engineering solutions to optimise performance and ensure reliability. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, sales consultants, and installation teams, to deliver technically sound and timely project outcomes. Prepare and submit documentation for connection approvals, safety compliance, and regulatory requirements, including liaising with DNSPs and government agencies. Respond to technical queries from clients, assess site-specific challenges, and recommend custom design adjustments based on structural and electrical conditions. Monitor system performance remotely and initiate engineering reviews where deviations from expected output occur. Ensure the accurate selection of electrical component bys, including PV modules, inverters, and protection devices, based on load calculations, voltage drop considerations, and system capacity. Requirements and Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering Essential Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems and circuit design. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and schematics. Familiarity with Australian Standards and electrical regulations. Experience with testing, commissioning, and maintenance. Skilled in using electrical design software. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent project planning and time management skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
