About the Role: We are currently seeking an experienced MC Driver (Float & Platform) to join the team in a full time capacity. In this role you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of large freight using a well-maintained Volvo Automatic Truck, with a Drake 6x8 Steerable low-loader platform trailer, with as required a 2x8 extension. This role requires a driver with strong previous experience in float and platform operations , (preferrable Drake) demonstrating expertise in loading, unloading, and securing various types of freight. Key Responsibilities: Safely and efficiently operate an MC licensed Volvo truck and Drake platform trailer. Transport general freight from Perth to regional WA, including regular trips to our mining operations in the Pilbara. Demonstrate proficiency in loading, unloading, and securing large and varied freight on a platform trailer. Possess practical experience with float operations for loading and unloading machinery or oversized items. Complete pre-start checks and report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly. Adhere to all relevant traffic laws and company policies. Maintain accurate logbooks and paperwork. Essential Requirements: Current and valid Australian MC driver's license. Demonstrable experience operating platform trailers and securing various types of freight. Proven experience with float operations (loading/unloading). Prior experience with Drake trailers are highly desirable. Current Drivers Medical Current Fatigue Management Certificate A strong commitment to safety and compliance.
